6th Annual OKTOBERFEST!

The 6th Annual, 2010 Exile Skimboards and Main Street Surf Shop, Oktoberfest Contest is fast approaching. The dates are set for October 2nd, and 3rd. Oktoberfest is the close to the United Skim Tour, and as history has shown, it's come down to the final stop on the tour to see who will be crowned the World Champion. We were able to push the dates to an earlier weekend in the year in hopes of hitting better weather, and a better shot at swell. Last year was a huge success with Sam Stinnett winning the Professional division. Watch out for Sam, Austin Keen, Brad Domke and Brandon Sears who all have been red hot recently on tour.

We've added a women's professional division to keep up with the ever growing women's division and skill level.

We will not be limiting the number of competitors unless we are bombarded with more entries than usual, but it's always best to enter early to assure your spot! You can enter at Main Street Surf Shop or at Exile Skimboards.

We recently watched the Exile Skimboards YouTube Channel hit 1,000,000 views! It's always exciting to see the growth of a sport you love so much, and love skimboarding we do. It's you, our friends and fans that have been clicking and viewing your way through our media, and helping to promote Exile and skimboarding itself. We thank you for your continued support and hope that we hit 2,000,000 views in half the time it took to hit 1 million.

It all began for us on You Tube with this video part containing leftover footage of Brandon Sears from our first team video, Bearded (which is still available through Exile Skimboards and select retailers).

Team Dominates OBX

The Outer Banks of North Carolina produce some of the best, most consistent skimboarding waves on the entire East Coast. This weekend was no exception, by Sunday competitors saw consistent waist high, glassy waves pushing through on an incoming swell and tide. Our Professionals dominated the contest, walking away with four of the top six positions breaking down like this:

Brad Domke- 2nd Place
Sam Stinnett- 4th Place
Austin Keen- 5th Place
Woody Harris- 6th Place

Our amateur's also faired very well. North Carolina local Perry Pruitt grabbed 3rd place in Jr. Men's. Here's a shot of Perry on a solid backside wrap.

In other AM news from the contest, Blair Conklin was able to not only take 1st place in Jr. Mens but also win the Semi Pro event. The Semi Pro division is basically a combination of all of the best amateur riders. This is quite the accomplishment for a West Coast rider to come and steal away the Semi Pro division on the East side of things. A big congratulations goes out to all of our team riders that competed. Here is a shot of why Blair is one of the best up and coming skimboarders in the world. A huge frontside spray, from a slash, and already back in position with speed looking straight down the line. Watch out world.

Domke Coming To Portugal!

Brad Domke is heading to Portugal to meet up with the Club Skim Norte to enter the first International contest of Club Skim Norte and Exile Skimboards in Portugal. The location will be the well known SkimBarrhinha in Esmoriz. Along side Club Skim Norte we will be hosting a bigger event than ever before, with professional riders from all over Europe who will have their chance to battle Brad Domke on their own turf for the first time.

Brad will also be making a tour and spreading the stoke at some of the best spots for skimboarding in Portugal. He will be hosting at least 1 camp, if not 2, for anyone that would like to learn from one of the best, most versatile skimboarders in the world. The first camp will be in conjunction with SkimBarrinha, on Friday, the 23rd of July. The contest will be happening the two days following the camp on the 24th and 25th.

We are doing this at the request of the public, so answer the call now and sign up while you still can for this great tour. Dude! Cruise meets Dutchland

The Dude! Cruise will have it's debut in the Netherlands on June 13th.

Some Dutchies may have heard rumors about the 13^th of June. Whatever it was you expected, we are making sure not to disappoint you… Exile Skimboards NL & DeSurfschool.nl present: Dia de el Dude Cruise at Hoek van Holland, Rechtestraat.

On the 13th of June 2010 the Dude Cruise will make its introduction into the Netherlands! And you are invited to test out this new shape, for free! But this is not your ordinary meeting. It’s a competition in which you are both going to be able to judge and be a competitor! We didn’t want to bore you with heats and the mean competitive side of things, so as a result you can just skim all you want, try our new board and have a good time! Then how are you supposed to win this event? Well, by the end of the day all contestants will vote for the winner in the following categories:

- Best ride wave & flatland

- Carpool Initiative; Largest group of people arriving in the same car

- Best Dude! Cruise ride

- King of the newbies

- Longest traveled distance to HvH

Dude! Cruise...

It is OFFICIAL! The Dude! Cruise.. that many of you have been hearing about, is officially ready for you the customer. This board is based off of the idea of a retro fish shape surfboard. It's wide in the nose so it can push through soft sections, but loose in the tail so you can still turn it on a dime. We've put it to the test in all conditions, and everyone comes up wanting more.

This board comes in three sizes, the Yacht (50.3 x 21, tailpoint's are 5" apart) as shown here, Woody Harris in ForeverSkimTheMag:

And the newest size, the USS Excelsior. This size is for riders about 190lbs and up. The dimensions are 22"x52.5", and it will float for years.

These three sizes will cover anyone from around 90 lbs. up to about 250 lbs., and the results have been great on both boards. Since there is so much surface area under your front foot, riders of varying weights can ride the same size board, whereas with narrower boards you need to bump up and down in size in about 20 lbs increments.

The Dude! Cruise comes standard in 3/4" foam planed down to 5/8" in the tail for as much float as possible, while still allowing the rider to lay on the tail for responsive turns. This is the first time ever, Paulo Prietto will be doing a full camp on the Gulf Coast, and it's being run in conjunction with the GrAMmy's, an all amateur skimboarding event where contestants will have an opportunity to win an Exile Skimboards sponsorship as well as an On A Mission traction sponsorship.

Our international team has been slaying waves and getting work done, while we've been here in Southern California waiting for the clouds to clear and some south swells to roll through. This week we were blessed with a video from our Brazilian representative, Lucas Gomes. Matheus Chiabi edited this piece up and it's definitely worth a taste. Matheus also edits the Brazil Kids videos that are always a worth-while watch.

The GrAMmy's!

There have been whispers of us coming to Florida for an all Amateur contest, and the whispers will soon become shouts. Tickets are bought, flyers are out, we'll see you soon. Paulo Prietto, Steve Taylor and Tommy D'eliscu will be heading to the west coast of the east coast for some good ol' fashioned fun.

What are the GrAMmy's though? The GrAMmy's is an all amateur skimboarding contest hosted by Overhead Surf Shop, in Madeira Beach. It will take place on Sunday June, 13th. There will be three divisions: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Ourselves, Exile Skimboards, and the traction and accessory company, On A Mission are offering a sponsorship to the person that catches our eyes the most. We will be looking for skill, personality, and an all around display of things that we feel fit our criteria of being a team member, and the winner will be hand-picked by Paulo, Steve and Tommy.

There will also be a camp hosted by Paulo Prietto and his SolagSkimSchool from Thursday the 10th to Saturday the 12th. Sign up for as many days as you can handle! It will definitely be worth it. For more information contact Overhead Surf Shop, or SolagSkimSchool.

Exile Kiteboarding?

For a few years we've been randomly getting orders for our skimboards from kiteboarders. We took our knowledge of how our boards ride at high speeds from doing tow-ins with the jetskis, and with the help of Cynthia and Kent Brown we figured out what would work best for her Kiteboarding. We knew our boards worked well when Cynthia called to re-order some new boards, but we didn't know she was as stoked as she apparently is.

We received an email from Cynthia about a week ago with this write up of her in Kiteboarder Magazine. We're extremely excited about being mentioned and wish Cynthia and Kent Brown the best of luck in their Kiteboarding futures!

Brad Domke Wins Easter Bash

This past weekend at Cocoa Beach Pier saw the annual Easter Bunny Skim Bash. We are proud to announce that Brad Domke took the professional division and seems to be in the zone mentally as the UST quickly approaches. He's yet to lose in 2010, and is hungry after his 2009 effort came very close to the title. We would like to thank FloridaToday.com for writing up the event and including Brad as the highlight of the piece, but felt it necessary to correct some mistakes that were written in the article. Brad is not currently ranked #1 in the world, however we know he is easily capable of becoming #1, and expect him to give a great run at the title in 2010.

Skimboarding is believed to have originate in the 1920's by Laguna Beach lifegaurds, and though we would wish that skimboarding is the fastest growing water sport right now, we're not sure of that as well.

Nonetheless, we are very proud of Brad not only because of this win, but his entire career with us thus far. Keep up the stoke and hard work Brad.

Lots of things have been going on in the Southern Hemisphere, while we've been caught in a cold winter that we're finally coming out of, the Southern Hemisphere is just finishing their summer up. We would like to congratulate one of our long time team riders, Danny Diaz on his National Title in Chile. Danny is a very versatile skimboarder that can ride anything you put in front of him. No matter what the conditions are he will excel. He's skimmed anything from ankle-biters to overhead Wedge and looks comfortable in everything. We wanted to take the time to congratulate Danny, and all those in Chile that participated and helped to make this Circuit a success, and hope everything is as normal as could possibly be after all the disasters there recently.

Here's to a bright future for Chile and especially the skimboarders there. Thanks for making us proud Danny!

Exile Japan Contest

On the 2nd of May, the annual Exile Skimboard Contest in Japan will be taking place. The contest will be in Miyazaki, where Paulo Prietto and Steve Taylor recently travelled to put on a skimboard camp. The locals were some of the friendliest and most stoked people we had ever met and it's a fact that this event is going to be a great gathering of skimboarders from all over Japan, and a chance to participate in the largest skimboard event in the entire country.

We're pleased to announce today that Brad Domke and Sam Stinnett will be attending the contest and performing a Demo for all there. It's sure to enthuse the crowd and get competitors' stoke level to record highs in Japan. Having two of the best skimboarders in the world showing a huge crowd in Miyazaki what they do best is sure be a great show.

Miyazaki is a prime location for the event, with great waves, and good shorebreak. There have been WQS surf events on the same stretch of beach, and it has swell basically year round. Last year this contest was one of the biggest skimboard contests in Japan, and this year it's expected to have even more participants. Tetsuya Katsuge, Exile's Japanese Distributor, has been working hard to organize the event, so make sure you check it out. We'll have media as soon as the event is over. Here's a shot of Brad Domke showing his approval of the event last year. He had so much fun he's going back again this year!

G. Archbold Miniature Movie

For years, Grady Archbold has been turning heads with his unique sense of style both in and out of the water. He opened up the first Exile movie with a high powered segment to an upbeat song. Quick Words with Brad Domke

With the ease of connecting with people on facebook, we were able to hook up with Brad Domke last week and hit him with a couple quick questions about himself and what he is looking forward to in the near future. Here's what was said back and forth:

Steve: We hype your board up to customers, and let them know what they can expect from it, but what has the "domke rocker", and the Brad Domke Pro Model done for your skimming and why do you think people should choose it over any other skimboard in the world?

Brad Domke: Well after putting in orders anywhere from XS's all the way to the Medium I currently ride, I really found the right size distribution for the board, but I still felt I could get more speed out of the board and wanted to knock down the rocker a bit. Ever since I got those two combinations I've never been happier on my skimboard. I really think it helps with a little less rocker than the normal hybrid rocker that comes with a standard pro shape. I'm so siked about the board I got, and I would like to get more futuristic with the tails, and try some new things out, but the Pro Model shape has to be the best all around shape for all conditions. A majority of professional and am skimboarders ride the pro shape, whethere it be on the gulf, eastcoast and the pacific side, and I really don't think there is much more to say to justify the board.

Steve: The board has spoke for itself basically, I like that Brad, well put. So what are your goals for 2010? Highlight your top goal and why it is your main focus...

Brad Domke: My number one goal this year is to finish a project Scott Stinnett and I have been working on. That's definitely my number one goal. It's my main goal because it's really something that has been very hard for both us, and I just can't wait until that goal is accomplished.

Steve: You guys have been going everywhere, skimboarders are going to be stoked on that final product.... Why do you choose to be on Exile Skimboards?

Brad Domke: Because they are the best boards. I grew up skimming on Exile and my teammates are like fam. And I get to go on the sickest trips with Exile.

Steve: Who have been the people that have influenced you: whether it be style, progression or just all around in life, inside or out of skimboarding?

Brad Domke: Hmmm... I really look up to people that are just having fun and killing it just because of that. I really am just into all kinds of board sports and I like to bring it all into one when I skim. My friends and family and people I've met from travelling have a lot to do with my style of life.

Steve: Last question. If there is one place that you have been skimboarding, that you think every skimboarder has to visit, where would it be, and why?

Brad Domke: M&M's was that spot for me, it was the newest, freshest wave I had ridden since skimming everywhere else the past few years, and it got me siking to find new waves like it.

Good News for Us

That's right folks, we have something to smile about today, and so do you. In proper Exile form, and to continue our reign of excellence, we've kept two relationships with team riders alive in the past week that will surely help keep us on top of the skimboard world. Team Riders, Brandon Sears and Paulo Prietto have both re-signed to the team for another three years.

Brandon Sears has been on a mission to reassert himself in the top of the UST. His high point of 2009 was winning the WCS in June. A goal of every professional and amatuer skimboarder, which became reality for Brandon as he stormed past previous champions and other top UST contenders. Brandon's full part in Stimulus is a regular footer's dream part. It inspires all. Three more years with Exile is not only good for us though. Brandon has kept us on our toes with our manufacturing. Being one of the few riders that really knows exactly what he wants in his board, he has been a great judge of how well we are doing in the back, behind scenes. With a huge year on the UST and one of the best skimboarding video parts ever to be seen, we think our relationship is exceptional. We are stoked to have you for at least three more years Mr. Sears. Thank you for trusting our product, our values, and our goals.

Paulo Prietto has been pushing himself to the top of the skimboard world since he made the switch over to Exile Skimboards. He has set goals and surpassed them. As Paulo has dominated the UST, he has also been building one of the most successful skimboard lesson/camp companies as well. If you have ever thought about getting lessons, you need to check Paulo's website, and contact him. SolagSkimSchool has been travelling near and far with camps, from Laguna Beach to Taiwan to Japan, Paulo is open to going anywhere to help skimboarding grow, and to help you develop your skills in the most efficient ways possible. The lessons/camps are well worth the little amount of money they cost, and the experience of being taught by one of the best people to have ever done the sport is a priceless bonus.

World, meet Anna Prophet

We are happy to introduce to you Anna Prophet. Anna has been a standout in skimboarding for years on the Gulf Coast of Florida. She has been shredding on Exile's for years. When Anna came over for the 2009 WCS at Aliso Creek Beach, I (Steve Taylor) was lucky enough to skimboard with her and her boyfriend, Jesse Davis, it was clear to me that Anna was much more talented on a skimboard than myself and Jesse combined.

Unfortunately at the time we were maxed out with our team's size and we had to take a backseat to putting her on the team right then and there, but it's been quite some time now, and some changes in our team have allowed us the option of adding someone we've known would fit right in, and boy are we stoked she accepted our offer. Anna is the perfect fit to the Exile family. She is as friendly as they come, and her skills speak for themselves. Anna combined with our other female rider, Keiao placed first and second at the World Championships of Skimboarding, and we are enthused to see what the future holds in both talents. Welcome to the family Anna!

Our annual trip to Orlando, Florida for Surf Expo is quickly approaching, and we've lucked out this year with a day off to do whatever we darn well please! So we have decided to head out to one of our best retailers, Skim City and have ourselves a skim demo with Exile Professional riders Harley Nelson and Tommy D'Eliscu. Exile Shop Managers, Hank Snapp and Steve Taylor will also be present, and bearing a ton of 2010 Exile shirts, hats, and other amazing goodies.

The goal of this? We want you to meet two of our favorite riders, and meet the guys you always talk to on the phone or shoot emails too. We feel like we're a big family over here, so come on out and meet some of our family, and share some waves, and a good time with us. We would be stoked to meet you.

Brad Domke Mini Movie

At Exile Skimboards we get a lot of requests for more coverage of Florida's young phenom Brad Domke. Unfortunately for everyone, 'Little Brad' is a tough guy to catch up with. Nevermind the fact that he 'misplaces' about a half dozen cell phones a year, this kid is often on the road for months at a time. This November he finally wrapped up a string of travel that began in April, only making it back home for a few precious weeks during that time. That is a solid six months on the road, and Brad has been loving every minute.

Luckily for everyone, we have managed to get a lens on Brad a fair amount of time over the past couple years and he wound up putting together one of the highest praised segments in Stimulus, one of the highest praised skim films to date. But we weren't able to use a lot of solid clips in the movie, so we thought we would put together a little something extra for the Internet. Enjoy!

Surf Expo in Orlando is right around the corner, and that means we will have to close up shop as we head to Florida to make sure all of our retailers are on top of Exile's new 2010 product line, as well as to push skimboarding ahead in the extreme sports market. For the past few years Exile has been a standout at the Expo, showing our team video Bearded for all to see. It's done an incredible job of turning all sorts of heads, in the skim scene and out. This year we will be showing our newest addition, Stimulus, and we can't wait to see the reaction.

We'll be back Monday the 17th with our normal business hours of 12-5pm, Monday through Saturday. Come on in and see our healthy stock of fresh and freshly used skimboards. Sam Stinnett Wins Oktoberfest!

Ladies and Gentleman... Watch out! Sam Stinnett has broken through professionaly in more ways than one this past weekend at the Oktoberfest, 2009 UST ending event. With his first win as a professional at the final stop, which boiled down to being one of the most competitive playing fields of the year, he proved to all that he's here, he has what it takes to win a final, and he won't let anyone stop him. With this win he was almost able to steal the UST as well.

The points race was on this weekend, and everyone knew it. Brad Domke put himself in striking distance at Santa Cruz, and the field came after him. He was outed in the second round, and the whispers among the crowds became shouting inside the top 5's heads' that remained in the hunt for the UST title. The heats became closer and closer but in the end Sam Stinnett took the contest title and snuck himself into second place for the UST points. Brandon Sears came through with another podium finish right behind Sam, making 2009 his most consistant year on tour.

Keep your eyes peeled for the officioal UST video from Oktoberfest, and in the mean time here is a shot of your 2009 Oktoberfest winner and UST runner-up Sam Stinnett.

Paulo in Japan and Taiwan

Acapulco Love

Don't think Skimboarding is growing? Think again... No more than a few years ago Cabo was the only well known skimboarding destination in Mexico. Since then we've been able to travel to Melaque and have had our Mexican distributor tell stories of Cabo-Quality (skim vocab 101) waves all throughout central Mexico.

This week, chickmagnet and skimboard stud alike, Harley Nelson is joining Mr. Paulo Prietto and his Solag Skim School to put on a camp for locals of Acapulco, Mexico. The owner of local Punto Muerto Surf Shop along with the help of our distributor, Luis Uribe have put together a skim contest and a camp for locals to participate in and further develop their skills. Who better to learn from than the smoothest, most fearless skimboarder we know?

We wish a great time to all that participate and thanks to Leo of Punto Muerto for his stoke on skimboarding, and thanks to Luis for his time in helping to organize and spread skimboarding throughout Mexico.

Exile Japan Needs a Vacation!

Exile Japan will be closing it's doors for a few weeks in October from October 8th until October 30th. Our Japanese distributor Tetsuya Katsuge will be venturing to the United States to get up to date with all that is Exile, and to possibly test his skills in the 2009 Oktobefest event. There's no better time than now to pick up a board from Exile Japan.

Exciting news though is that Paulo Prietto is hosting a camp in Japan in the very near future. Keep posted this week for another Japanese News Update on the dates and details. Don't worry we'll be seeing you in the water soon!

Oktoberfest Is Coming

Exile Skimboards and Main Street Surf Shop's highly anticipated Oktoberfest event is nearly upon us. It is the final stop of the United Skim Tour, and the answer to who will be the next World Champion. The race is tight, as Brad Domke was outed in the Quarterfinals in tough Santa Cruz conditions, putting himself in the hot seat and allowing others to be within even tighter striking distance. With El Nino talk flying all over the place, we're expecting warm waters, and a very good chance for south swell. California has been lit up with fun Hurricane swells and early NW swells late into the summer, so keep your fingers crossed for some mother nature love.

As we all know, the Santa Cruz Skimbash is taking place this weekend. It's the second to last UST event so the stakes are high, and top pros from all over will be making their way to the central coast of California to do battle at one of the most consistent skimboard breaks around.

Santa Cruz always seems to have cool stuff going on without many outsiders even knowing of it. If you're on top of your Skimboarding News (like the Brazil Kids) than you knew about the Senseless Contest put together by Ryan Parola in Santa Cruz, at 26th Ave just weeks before the UST event comes to town. It's the perfect time for Santa Cruz locals, but open to outsiders, to come up and test their skills, and to get their practice heats in before all of Laguna and the rest of the world comes to their home turf to do battle at SkimBash.

This year saw troughy conditions but shralpable nonetheless. It could be argued that this year served up the most competitive group in the pro/advanced division, which makes us extremely proud of our newly revived stoked out Santa Cruz local, Ben Koscielniak. Ben's back in skimboarding full swing, and we couldn't be happier. He's a grom at heart and filled with more stoke than a cup of Joe. Congratulations to our longtime Santa Cruz ripper Ben and to Cameron Carothers our other Santa Cruz pride for making the final and repping for the Exile Nation. The East Coast Championships are a living part of skimboard history that brings in competitors from all over. This year our East Coast and West Coast threats met again battling it out. Small in stature, gigantic in skimboarding skill, two great skimboarders sat atop the podium for two different awards last weekend.

Perry Pruitt, the proud new owner of the yellow kitty skim, became the proud overall winner of the Boys division for the entire SkimUSA tour for 2009. Here he is decked out in a lovely Exile Spiral shirt, available directly from Exile standing tall on the podium with his trophy. Congrats to Blair and Perry for their accomplishments in Dewey Beach, DE.

Skimboarding Tow-Ins

On the 24th and 25th of July, Southern California was pounded with a massive south swell. As most of the attention focused on well known surf spots like The Wedge, Paulo Prietto and Exile decided to find some fun waves right at home. At 5:30am Steve Taylor and Paulo launched the Exile Ski at Dana Point Harbor and headed towards South Laguna. Meanwhile, Aaron Peluso scouted the conditions at several breaks. Aliso was shaping up the best during the very low tide which made the usually secretive tow session very much more public...

...which was all good as far as we are concerned!

It was a little dumpy and a little closed out but the waves were huge and it was good times for all involved. Check out the video from the two day session below. You can even view it in high-def on our YouTube page. (p.s. subscribe to it!)

Rider Profile Updates

We recently added Austin Keen and Clark Camp to our website. Both have been slaying waves with Exile's under their feet for years, but just recently were we able to get them both officially on the team. We will be adding media in the coming weeks, so be prepared for some more eye candy.

Austin is a Georgia native, that recently moved out to Southern California so make sure to meet and greet this friendly Southern Gentleman if you see him around. Clark developed most of his skills on the island of Maui, and is now living on Oahu and frequently spots like Sandy's. We couldn't be happier to have Clark and Austin officially on Exile, and we are excited about our future with them both.

Corey Hanks Wins OBX

On a hot July morning last week, I sadly had to take Corey Hanks to John Wayne Airport so he could make it home for the 4th stop of the UST in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. With a good luck wishing to my friend Corey and a long overdrawn out good bye hug, "Kick some (butt) out there dude" and Corey Hanks reply, "don't worry I'm going to win." Some would say it's cockiness. Some would say he's a punk. I say he's a 17 year old that just made a huge statement to the professionals on tour. Don't let your gaurd down against this tiny monster, because chances are he can beat you on any given day. In his home of OBX, he did just that. With four UST events down, and four different Exile team members taking top honors at each event, things are looking good. The next event is Vilano, which was plagued for two days with completely flat conditions last year. Pray for waves as Vilano can be one of the highest performing skimboard waves on the East Coast. Congratulations again to Corey Hanks, you made us all proud. Especially Papa.

Exile and Skim North Contest in Portugal

Exile Skimboards (that's us) and Skim Norte will be hosting the 2nd Annual Exile Skim North Open, the third stage of the Portuguese National Tour FPS 2009, and will take place in Espinho on July 18th and 19th. Being the only stage of the tour in the North of Portugal, and with a tight race for the title, it's sure to be a true battle. Exile Team Rider Simao Pinto leads the Under-16, and hopes to continue his dominance in this event.

Skimcity and the Pit Surf Shop are teaming up to offer Outer Banks residents their own private showing of Simulus this Saturday night. The premiere is rumored to be shown on the "big screen" and should get started around 7:30. Its free to get in so mark your calendars and come on down to The Pit for what is sure to be a good time.

SEARS WINS THE WCS!

We're sure you've heard the news, but here it is anyways. Our very own, Brandon Sears has won the 2009 Aliso contest this past weekend. It may have surprised you, but didn't spook us. BCS has been skimming better than ever over the past year, and during the contest there was never a moment of worry that he would not make a heat. We're very proud to have the title under the Exile Roof, and proud to have Brandon on board with us. If you haven't checked out his amazing part in Stimulus, you'll see why we're not surprised about this win. The boy works magic on that skimboard. Big Congrats to Mr. Sears, send some love his way when you see him next.

Straight behind Sears was Paulo Prietto who skimmed like he wanted it more than ever, but barely came up short in the Final. Sam Stinnett finished a very strong 3rd to make the top 3 all Exile Lovelies. We couldn't be happier.

In the 12-14 year old division, Exile also took 1st, 2nd 3rd. Blair Conklin continued his domination of the West Coast, with Ken Suzuki and Perry Pruitt right on his tail. Kalin Wiley snagged 2nd in 15-17. Finally signed to the team, Austin Keen stole the 18-21 division in a stacked final. Shop Manager Henry Wilbur Stinky Snapp faux-shoved his way to 2nd place in 22-24. Friend of the Exile Family and Balboa local Lance Brooks walked away with 1st in the "aging like a fine wine" division, and Keiao Gucau-Bucasas showed strongly in a highly competitive women's division with a 2nd place finish. We're stoked for everyone that competed and we'll see you in the Outer Banks in under two weeks, where hometown hottie Woody Harris will try to make his first statement of the year.

Domke Wins In New Jersey

It may come as a shock to many, but this past weekend Brad Domke walked away with his first major pro victory. The second stop of the 2009 UST tour was held in New Jersey this year in what can only be described as "challenging" conditions. Not to worry, Brad loves a challenge. All weekend long the buzz was that Domke was skimming like a madman and when the final scores were tallied, it confirmed what many had suspected.

Brad has placed in the finals eight times in his two complete years on tour, earning several second place finishes in the process. Amazingly, until today he never managed to snag the top spot in a UST event. We have little doubt that this will be the first of many. Stay tuned.
